Too many tamariki start school without a vital skill. Help us change that. We’re recruiting new trustees.

Interested in helping us achieve our vision of every child starting school with the oracy skills they need to flourish? We’re ready for our next phase and are looking for people to join our board of trustees.

Who we would love to hear from

•     Speech-language therapists. We would love at least one on our board, bringing clinical insight.

•     Governance and leadership experience, including anyone ready to chair.

•     Finance professionals to act as our Treasurer.

•     Tangata whenua, to help us honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

•     Younger and emerging leaders with a fresh view.

You do not need to be an oracy expert. You do need to care about tamariki, act with integrity and bring energy to our kaupapa.

What is involved

•     Hui every six weeks, about 1.5 hours, in person or online, as a minimum. We want people committed to helping us grow.

•     Unpaid, with expenses reimbursed and an induction provided.

•     Board Chair: the trustees choose the Chair, so Chair applicants are first appointed as trustees. Speech-language therapists need not be Chair.
